Associate Trainers - Helen Underwood

Helen started her working career as a Physiotherapist and worked primarily in Intensive Care and Paediatric environments for 11 years.

She then decided to follow her passion for sharing the outdoors with others and put herself through an intense year long Outdoor Pursuits Instructor training course on the West Coast of Scotland.

Following a return to Leeds where she started work as a self-employed Outdoor Pursuits Instructor, she underwent the training to become a First Aid Trainer, drawing upon her skills gained during her hospital career.

Helen is self-motivated and enthusiastic - qualities which enable her to motivate others and enable them to learn practical skills whilst having fun. She loves the variety that First Aid Training, rock climbing, kayaking etc provide and relishes the satisfaction of working with people who want to not only learn practical skills but also grow as individuals.
